Laughing and Crying

Making me laugh: Isabel fell down and scraped her knees pretty badly yesterday (not the funny part). Today she was complaining that her knees hurt (again, not funny), but the various ways she was trying to "limp" were so complicated, and with the wrong leg sometimes, that it made me laugh.

Making me cry: Potty traing. We are still having major setbacks and the longer it goes on, the angrier I get. And I do mean ANGRY. And I know it's wrong. That's what is making me cry. I'm at a complete loss.

  1. I'll just tell you about my experience. Xavier was almost completely potty trained when Gary came home from a deployment, and a month later, Dominic was born. At that point, he refused to use the toilet. It took another 6 months for him to be willing to potty train, again. Although it will mean extra work, if it were me, I would just let her be in diapers for a while. When Xavier finally decided that he was done being a baby, he potty trained overnight.

I'm thinking about you. Keep your chin up.

  2. Yeah, sometimes you just don't need the headache. You have a baby to take care of, you can't be jumping up every 10 minutes to deal with potty issues. Just let it go for a bit.
