1,000 Gifts

I have to make this quick today.  We are headed up to see my grandmother, one of the gifts of moving to this part of the country.

Speaking of gifts, today you have a chance to win a copy of One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by Ann Voskamp.  While I haven't actually read the book, it's on my list for 2012 (to be posted soon), and it was my favorite thing to give as a birthday gift in 2011 because I had heard such great things about it.

And now I'd like to give it to you.  Again, just leave a comment between now and Jan. 6th and I'll let you know the winner on Jan. 8th.

And you can check out more Ann Voskamp at her blog, A Holy Experience.

Don't forget the other giveaways so far...

  3. WHat a great give away for today. I haven't read this book but I love any book on how others are Christ like in their life. I think this last year I have tried to embrace that a bit more. I have learned a lot about myself as a mom, wife, daughter and a Catholic this year. My hope is that I can help others like I have been helped this last year.

I hope you have a great visit with your grandma!!! Happy New Year!!

  4. Oh! Sounds like a great book! I'll have to look in to reading it this year, as I'm trying to read more of that type of book. Have a great visit with your grandmother. :)

  5. So great to visit your grandmother! Makes me think of the holidays and growing up and visiting all of the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. My children get it at Thanksgiving every other year, the influx of family, but I wish it was affordable for us to live closer to family. After successfully reading again regularly as my 2011 New Years Resolution, my 2012 resolution is to branch out and read some nonfiction as well so I will add that to my list I have compiled. Thanks!
