One of Those Nights

I started to write a post last night for today's giveaway.  It was going to be nice and incorporate today's Feast of the Holy Innocents.  But, it was indeed one of those nights.  One of those nights where there was no soothing the baby.  She didn't want Daddy.  Only Mommy.  One of those nights where, as soon as she latched on, she would pass out asleep, but if I tried to put her in the crib, she would wake up screaming.  Soooo, here I am this morning, trying to throw together something quickly so you can get your chance at today's giveaway.

Speaking of nursing babies...(I know, great transition, right?) today's giveaway is a nursing cover from Udder Covers.  I LOVE my nursing cover.  I don't know how I managed without one for my first 3 babies.  I can remember one time, standing in line at Disney World, trying to balance a sweater on my shoulder while nursing Maire because she just couldn't wait until we got on the ride.  Having a cover would have been so great then!  But now I have the Maria, and life is so much easier when I need to nurse Victoria in public.

Today, I'm giving away one nursing cover!  Just leave a comment below and if you'd like, tell me what one of your favorite "tools" for mothering has been.  And don't worry if you are not in need of a cover yourself, they make great gifts!

My sweet baby is crying now, so I must go.  Happy Wednesday!

  2. Merry Christmas to you and the family! Love hearing your voice through this blog too. I guess my favorite "tool" during the baby stage was the Baby Bjorn. I was never a fan of strollers...too cumbersome and awkward. I loved wearing my kiddos and being hands free! Now, that we are in the preschool era, I find it's my sense of humor that is the tool I can't do without!

  3. Well, with my first 2 I had no exersaucer and no pack and play and I used both of those items excessively with number 3. At one time or another, they both were used on the pool deck at swim meets!!

  4. It's funny, with baby #1, I thought I NEEDED everything, you know? If I didn't have something, I couldn't raise the child, strange looking back on that era of my life. Because here we are a decade and 5 babies later, and most of that stuff is gone. However there are a few things I have held on to. A "giggler" do you know the baby toy I am talking about? The literal giggles it ensues from everyone makes it all better. And the Halo Sleepsacks, both with the swaddle and without. My kids are all movers and shakers, so the blanket has to leave the crib so fast, and they want to be warm. This solves the problem, they are fantastic!!

  5. I am 8 months pregnant with baby #3 and I think this would help with my modesty issues! ;) I was always ducking into dressing rooms, sitting in the car, and just missing out on life while nursing my other babies! With two active little kids, I NEED to be able to breastfeed wherever so I don't miss out on things.
PS-love the porter fabric choice in the cover!

  6. I loved my ergo because the baby could snuggle close to my chest, and when older could ride on the back.
